Stella was able to attend her first birthday party. The best part about it being her first one is it is also a dress up party: ) I am super excited about that! I also feel like we are getting good use out of her Halloween costume. It was Jake’s 3rd birthday party. I can’t believe he is 3! It just seems like the other day we were at his 1st birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!
After the birthday party, we headed to downtown Dallas to visit the new Klyde Warren Park. One of the reasons we were sad about moving from The Glasshouse was because we didn’t want to miss living next to this park. It is a very neat little addition to the Dallas area. However, I don’t think it is worth living in downtown just to be near it. I think a 5 to 10 minute drive will be just fine. Stella had a great time being outside! On Sunday, I spent the day with my mom and grandmother. We took Stella to the Dallas Arboretum and took pictures with pumpkins. I don’t know who thought of this idea but everyone does it! I think the entire city of Dallas had our great idea and headed to the pumpkin patch to take pictures. Afterwards, we headed to the house to watch the yearly Halloween parade in our neighborhood. One of my favorite pictures of the weekend is the one below. It is a picture of the 4 of use watching the parade. The neat part of the picture is the blanket we are using to keep warm was made by Stella’s great-great grandmother, nanny. So she was with us in spirit – 5 generations: )
