San Antonio, Texas

We took our first family road trip! We decided to head to San Antonio for a few reasons. We were ready to take a mini vacation and we both had not been to San Antonio in a long time and we had never been together. Also, I saw that you were able to swim with the Beluga whale at Sea World and had to add that to my list of animals I have swam with and kissed: )

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. It is an amazing resort!

It also has a lazy river. Stella loved being in the pool and floating the lazy river! I laid her in my lap while I floated the river on an inter tube and she fell asleep!

SEAWORLD!!

The BELUGA WHALES! One of the reasons for our trip to San Antonio. I got to hug and kiss her (Natasha)!

We got up Sunday morning and headed to the Riverwalk. We had brunch at a place called Canaries. We didn’t realize when we chose this place that it was going to be so nice so we were a little worried that Stella might decide to make a scene. Stella did a great job and enjoyed the brunch. She enjoyed sleeping, listening to a man play the guitar and have all the people dote over her.

You can’t go to San Antonio and not stop to see the Alamo. It was much smaller than I had remember as a child. I need to refresh my memory and do some reading on Texas history.

Of course on our way home we had to make some important stops. We stopped in Austin so Stella could meet my college roommate, Missy, and in Waco so she could meet Joe’s friend, Kyle. We enjoyed dinner at Rudy’s in Waco. Stella has eaten twice in Waco but has yet to visit campus so this is next on the list. You can never start too soon on visiting college campuses. However, Stella only needs to visit one because I know she is going to want to be a Baylor Bear: )
